In April 22nd 2022 it was 132 years since the great American Land Rush which saw over 50,000 people line up for a starting gun race for a piece of the best unoccupied land in Oklahoma – over 8,100 km2.

It was around the same time American author Mark Twain (1835-1910) penned “Buy land, they’re not making it anymore”.

He saw the rush for land and the supply and demand driving it’s worth.

In the recent COVID years the rush for land has seen Land Sales skyrocket across the Land Man Estates in the Toowoomba Region. Going on the current level and increasing rate of enquiry, there’s every indication that this will continue well into 2022 and beyond.

My views are supported by new expert comments this week that Toowoomba will be a nationally designated hotspot in 2022.

In a 9News report, Ethos Urban demographer Chris McNeil said he believes the hunt for homes within 200 kilometres of a capital city will see buyers circle Toowoomba.

Driving the Toowoomba Region hotspot allocation is the astronomical rise in house prices in the south east corner metropolitan regions. This is not just forcing people to look elsewhere but has them wanting to move elsewhere with the ability to work from home.

Toowoomba’s well known educational attributes is a major drawcard for families moving to the Garden City Region along with the promise of high valued work.

New employment opportunities are also emerging almost daily through the over $13 billion in major infrastructure projects.

From Toowoomba we can ‘take on the world’ from Wellcamp Airport and let’s not forget the steps being taken for improved and faster rail connectivity to our state’s capital and other yet to be revealed projects ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympics.

Land for Sale in Toowoomba

The Toowoomba Region is most certainly a hotspot with the fight for our land coming from all over Australia to drive your investment in a Land Man Estate forward.

If the visionary Mark Twain could see this all unfolding today, I wonder what he would say.

“Buy land, they’re not making it anymore”.

He may very well have said that when he visited the fledgling colony of Australia in 1895.

How can we help?
