The Covid induced buying push by owner occupiers has seen the price of existing dwellings skyrocket right across the metropolitan and regional areas including Toowoomba. It’s unbelievable to think that Unit prices in East Toowoomba rose 79% according to The Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ).
Buyers are increasing, becoming aware of the benefits of building brand new. According to the latest NAB residential property survey over half of First Home Buyers are now more likely to consider building or buying a new-build home than they were two years ago.
The survey also details how the first home buyers are more proactive in new housing markets with a 47.8% presence in new build sales over the quarter. This is more than twice the figure recorded in NAB’s initial 2014 report.
While First Home Buyers are making their presence felt they are not the only buying group that are aware of the affordability and trust aspect of securing land to build a new home.
